The noble, and totally pointless, game of cricket or criquet is thought to have been created in France by unknown peasants that were throwing rocks and hitting them using shovel. Whole village of Calais were coming to watch new game and beacuase of popularity one match could last as lon as they wanted. Unfortunately all village inhabitants died due to hunger. Nobody cared about harvest and therefore game has been banned in France (and this law is still actual in modern France). Game was then taken by the Dutch who renamed it "krookeet", the game was successfully introduced to Britain during the Battle of Medway in 1667 when the Dutch fleet bombarded Chatham with krookeet-balls containing instructions for the game.
